Skills

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a healthcare setting (required)
  • Knowledge and understanding of medical terminology (required)
  • Familiarity with chronic care management processes (preferred)
  • Fluency in English and Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese/Russian (preferred)
  • Strong customer service mindset for internal and external customers (required)
  • Medical Assistant and/or Medical Scribe Certification (required)
  • Proficiency in computer software navigation, data entry, and data cleansing
  • Basic knowledge of Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, or similar
  • Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team, demonstrating good judgment and decision-making skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a start-up environment

Responsibilities

  • Provide practice support, including contacting members, caregivers, and care team members as directed
  • Work closely with the clinical team to improve member health and care
  • Coordinate care for patients of the practice
  • Perform precise data entry within the electronic medical record as appropriate for scope of practice
  • Ensure data quality and accuracy
  • Answer phones with a customer service orientation
  • Schedule patient visits using mapping software
  • Provide additional administrative support as needed

Qualifications

  • Medical Assistant Certification required
  • Ability to work Monday - Friday (required)
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel within the designated service area
  • A quiet place to work remotely for patient-related conversations
  • Demonstrated ability to perform duties as assigned or requested
